Media Usage: Canada vs. America
Infographic: How Canadians' media habits stack up to Americans.
Oh, I love these pretty pictures… and this one has a few notable insights:
The gap in TV consumption is noticeably different, as is our (Canadians) propensity for finding content outside traditional means (downloading from torrent sites and consuming more online video vs. using on-demand services or subscribing to Netflix).
The mobile number is a bit of a surprise, as other sources will tell you that Canada has led the U.S. in key indicators (such as broadband adoption), so the notion that we’re laggards is interesting.

What is captivating me today is the intersection between consumer behaviour and media touch points. Why do we have a love/hate relationship with Facebook and what does that means for marketers; or, how will our insatiable desire for content be met within the speed-of-light changes impacting traditional providers (TV networks and print publishers)…questions like these keep me up at night.
